Infrared saunas can help improve hormone balance and relieve menstrual cramps.

They do this by helping the liver remove toxins, reducing stress, relaxing muscles, and removing excess water and salt from the body.

They can also help relieve PMS symptoms by improving blood flow, reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system, and improving skin quality.

MENSTRUAL PHASE (Days 1-5 of cycle) :

The menstrual phase is the first phase of the menstrual cycle. During this phase, the uterus sheds its lining. Estrogen and progesterone levels are low, which can make you more sensitive to heat.

Using an infrared sauna during your menstrual phase can be a safe and beneficial way to relieve pain symptoms and promote relaxation.

The heat from the sauna can help to increase blood flow to the uterus, which can help to relieve pain symptoms such as cramps and bloating.

It can also help to relax muscles and promote overall relaxation.

FOLLICULAR PHASE (Days 6-10 of cycle) :

The follicular phase is the first half of the menstrual cycle, and it begins on the first day of your period. During this phase, an egg matures in one of your ovaries.

Estrogen levels rise, which can lead to increased energy and a desire to be more active.

Some women find that they feel more comfortable using an infrared sauna during the follicular phase.

The heat can help to increase blood flow and circulation, which can help to relieve muscle tension and improve mood. It can also help to detoxify the body and release toxins. You may also want to try some light stretching or yoga poses during your session.

OVULATION PHASE (Days 11-15 of cycle) :

Ovulation is the release of an egg from an ovary. It usually occurs about 14 days before your period starts.

During ovulation, estrogen levels peak and then drop. This can lead to increased energy and a feeling of well-being.

During ovulation, many women experience an increase in energy levels. This can be a great time to get a sweat & workout in!

Combining a workout with infrared sauna can offer many benefits, including: Improved cardiovascular performance, Reduced inflammation, Detoxification & Increased endorphin production.

LUTEAL PHASE (Days 16-26 of cycle) :

The luteal phase is the second half of the menstrual cycle, and it begins after ovulation. It typically lasts for about 14 days, but it can vary from woman to woman.

During the luteal phase, the corpus luteum, which is the empty follicle that released the egg, produces progesterone. Progesterone helps to thicken the lining of the uterus in preparation for a fertilised egg. If the egg is not fertilised, the corpus luteum will break down and the lining of the uterus will shed, resulting in a period.

During the first part of this week, you will likely have lots of energy to burn. This is a great time to enjoy an infrared sauna + a bodyweight workout or pilates class.

Scale back later in the week to lighter activities, like laying down in the sauna or some light stretching.
